Works Great! Saved mobile data!

This app is fantastic! I already saved a ton of data! All those people that say it gives you a virus, stop lying. It has never once said that to me. It also works great with Onavo Protect. It acts as a VPN and as a mobile data saver. Highly recommended.

Causes conflicts with audio/video conferencing

If you use facetime (audio or video) or Facebook (audio or video) on a regular basis, this is not for you. There is some kind of bug that causes calls to be dropped within about a minute when using it. While the rest of the time it does help and saves a ton of data when using other apps such as Instagram, Facebook, etc if you are willing to have it lower the quality of pictures, which also does speed up load times too. I didnt give it only one star since when not using conferencing,it works great.

I fell for it

I was looking up a movie then I clicked on it all of a sudden it brought me to this page that came from Google saying that my iPad had 2 viruses and that I only had 4 min to fix it other wise it would damage my contacts and my insta snapchat etc. etc. so u know it said to download this app to remove all the viruses and I did as it said so but then when the time was out and all the minutes ran out and I had already opened the app I didnt see anything that said that my iPad was secure thats y read the reviews and relized it was just an app that didnt work at all It will tell u that ur device has 2 viruses then it will make u download this app and make u create a VPN profile and when the min run out u wont get a pop up that says its all clear ⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜

Dont get this app it sucks

When I got this pop up the first time I didnt do anything and my phone was fine but now I got it again and I felt scared. This is fake Apple doesnt get viruses unless its jail broken.

Hey idiots

I dont think many of you know how data compression works, and a lot of you dont even know how the internet works. First of all, this app is not a virus. Apple tends to not approve viruses onto its app store. And if you see something saying you have a virus DONT click it FOR ***** SAKE! Second of all, data compression is normally pretty expensive to run because it has to be sent to a server before it is sent to you, and this is free. No reason to complain at all. And mass data compression doesnt work well with videos, and really doesnt work well with video calls. So no **** its not saving you much data if youre watch GBs of videos a day.

Why I Dont Like Onavo Extend

I dont like this app bc it doesnt let me save data. I dont know why, but you guys shouldnt have it unless you want your data to go by quick. Or maybe its bc I have Verizon? but idk what to tell you guys.!

Issues are never fixed

Only if Opera Max were available instead.... Onavo constantly has issues tracking my data, putting in false data usage claims, and not activating the VPN when needed. Also not to mention, Onavo keeps telling me Im saving data on apps I dont even own! Please fix.

Great concept, somewhat shoddy implementation.

Although I had used this app on a previous device (just for kicks), I was on an unlimited plan at the time so I honestly didnt care how much data I saved. Now that this is not the case I was excited to get more value out of the app, but it seems as though there is a disconnect during the setup. I get taken to a screen after the VPN profile is installed that says something to the effect of "just finishing up," and it just spins. Since the VPN is installed Im assuming it still saves data. But its almost as though the app doesnt connect to the VPN, and Im unable to monitor my savings. As a result I deleted the app. I decided to try again since some time has passed, and Ive been using more data than usual lately. But it looks like the issue has not yet been fixed. I dont know if there is some kind of compatibility issue linking to the device (iPhone 6S Plus whereas the previous device I used the app on was an iPhone 5), or the system (iOS 9.3 vs iOS 7 & 8 on the old device), but either way it needs to be worked on. Otherwise you might as well get rid of the app portion, and strip it down to the VPN.
